I like to announce that the board has created three new positions and is asking for nominations to fulfill these roles. The first position is the Tournament Chair. This position would generally be responsible for the club’s involvement in any soccer tournaments. The second two positions actually fall under one heading of Social Chair. This position would be responsible for the club’s involvement in any non-soccer related activities (from dodge ball to group banquets). This position is expected to be very time and labor intensive which is why we are looking for two people to fulfill these roles. It would be ideal that these two people already have a strong relationship and could work well together. It is also important for these people to set aside any differences they have towards anyone else in the club to be as impartial in accepting involvement in these activities. I have attached a document outlining the responsibilities of these positions in more detail.
If you feel that you or someone else would fit these roles, please respond to this email. We will also be posting the details on the website in the next few days. If you do nominate someone other than yourself, please discuss it with them before contacting the board. We do not want to surprise anyone with an unwanted appointment.
As usual, if you have questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact me. Remember, this is YOUR club!
Thanks for your time and participation.
